Steps of the process

Passive residency in Andorra

    Minimum investment

    €1,000,000 in Andorran assets. If the investment is made through real estate: €800,000+ in real estate and €200,000 in Andorran assets.

    Mandatory contribution

    Non-refundable payment of €50,000 to the AFA.

  3. 3

    Private health insurance

    Taking out a specific private insurance policy for passive residents (not CASS).

  4. 4

    Personal documentation

    Submission of the applicant's personal documents, whether from inside or outside the European Union.

    Address in Andorra

    Proof of address or a rental/ownership contract no more than 6 months old.

  6. 6

    Medical examination

    Passing the mandatory medical examination in Andorra.

  7. 7

    Filing with immigration

    Up to 6 months to submit all the documentation to the immigration office.

    Passive residency granted

    Residency without CASS, linked to private health insurance. Minimum stay requirement: 90 days per year in Andorra (not 180).
